new york kitchen designs

Our Roots
Showcase Kitchens traces its roots to 1929, when Joseph Noto and son Anthony partnered to open a home improvement supply business, located on McDonald Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Although the Great Depression spread throughout the country during that era, the father-son team worked hard, and McDonald Home Center prospered. The business became incorporated in 1933.

John Starck Sr. married Frances Noto in 1970 and joined the family business. His woodworking expertise contributed to the growth of the Starck family reputation for fine craftsmanship. After operating at the original location for 70 years, the Starck family relocated to Manhasset, New York, and chose to name the company Showcase Kitchens, reflecting the high caliber of work the business represented. We developed a thriving business, serving many customers in the local area. Our success has enabled us to expand into two additional locations: Island Park and Greenwich, Connecticut.

Four generations later, the Starck family is still at the helm of the business: John Sr., vice president of operations, and sons, John Jr., president, and Anthony, vice president of sales. The new generation carries on the business with a firm commitment to the same, old-fashioned values that enabled "Papa Joe" to succeed: hard work, integrity, respect, honesty, loyalty and determination.

Our Approach
As the company evolved, so did our use of cutting-edge design. We are design artisans who use old-world craftsmanship to draw hand-rendered illustrations before converting them to detailed engineered plans, using state of-the-art, computer-assisted design programs. Showcase Kitchens' hands-on, "team" approach means that the entire design staff participates in each project. This system keeps our design team innovative, keeps projects running smoothly and ensures that no detail goes unnoticed. Showcase Kitchens offers personal jobsite supervision and outstanding support services from preliminary concept design to installation and beyond.

Our Reputation
Showcase Kitchens has earned a reputation as one of the top design firms in the country and the respect of our clients. In fact, nearly 95 percent of business is generated by satisfied customers who recommend us to their friends and families. Honesty and integrity are the backbone of our business philosophy. Our pride in our work and dedication to unsurpassed service translates into everything we do. You can count on Showcase Kitchens to exceed your expectations.
